Why JOYFULL?
Joyfull is the antique spelling for joyful.
Through the ages, Christmas has been celebrated as both a season for joy and a season for giving – it’s probably no coincidence that they co-exist. The heart of this program is to bring about joy through the simple act of giving.

How does the program work?
The concept is as simple as 1, 2, 3:
Step 1: Sign up on our webpage to receive the shopping list
Step 2: Go shopping! Each bag of essentials should be ~RM100. You can use your MyKasih credits to buy these. Here’s a helpful article on where and how to use the MyKasih credits.
Step 3: Drop off the bag(s) at Lot10 Shopping Centre, Bukit Bintang, KL on 13th December 2025 between 9AM to 1PM.
That’s it! We will then distribute the bags to families and communities in need. You can buy as many bags as you’d like but we prefer that each bag contains the full shopping list with a similar value for ease of distribution.
Who are these communities who will receive the bags?
For 2025, we are partnering with the social action ministry of Holy Trinity Bukit Bintang, a church in Bukit Bintang, KL. The FoodBank ministry of the church distributes food and necessities every week to various schools, shelters, and high-need families (many of which are from refugee communities). Through JOYFULL, we aim to give as many of these families some relief by gifting them a bag of practical household items.

What are key dates to know for the 2025 program?
13th December: Drop off your bag of items at Lot10 Shopping Centre, Bukit Bintang, KL between 9AM to 1PM.
Who can participate in this program?
Anyone and everyone! Spread the word as far and wide as you can.
Can people outside of Klang Valley or outside Malaysia participate?
You can participate from anywhere, as long as those bags can reach us by 13th December! If you’d like to contribute in cash instead to purchase the items on behalf, please email [email protected] to discuss.
How can I share information about the program with others?
The easiest way to share information about the program is to share this webpage – joyfull.com.my or our instagram handle @joyfull.com.my and explain to them in your own words why you think this program is worth their while.
Can I donate money to the program?
JOYFULL is not a registered charity – we are a group of friends wanting to make a difference. We’ve tried to ensure minimal financial cost incurred for the project for this year by (1) distributing efforts between us / gifters, (2) sustainable planning and (3) seeking help from kind-hearted volunteers.
Therefore, any cash donations we receive will not be retained by us for this project but rather, donations will be given directly to the schools and shelters OR used to purchase necessities for them.
Given we are not a charity, we will have to receive the funds via a personal bank account. However, we will ensure utmost transparency on how the money is handled and where each Ringgit goes. Do write in to [email protected] for more details on how to support us financially.
How else can I support JOYFULL?
Volunteer: We sometimes need volunteers for our programs to help with packing, wrapping, and distribution. Do get in touch with us if you’d like to help out!
Partnerships: In the years to come, we’d love to scale this up even more and reach thousands of homes! If you have ideas for how you or your company can support us to achieve this mission, we definitely want to hear it. Just write in to us and we’d be happy to chat further.
Is there a limit to the number of bags I can prepare?
No limit 🙂 The shopping list provided amounts to ~RM100 per bag. Feel free to multiply this as many times as you’d like! However, each bag should contain the same shopping list items for consistency i.e. each bag would be ~RM100 in value.
What should I include in the shopping bag?
Please purchase just the items in the shopping list provided to you via email.
Can I include a personal note for the recipient?
Yes! Feel free to include a personalised note for the recipients if you’d like 🙂
I need to pull out from the program, help!
If you suddenly realise you’re unable to participate, please let us know as soon as possible via [email protected].
Will I know when the family has received my gift?
We inform all gifters once the bags have been successfully delivered, hopefully with some pictures. However, for safety and logistical reasons, we will not be sending you any personalised information or photos of the specific recipients.
